Cranberry Orange Jalapeño Cream Cheese Dip

This Cranberry Dip includes orange zest, which gives the dip a fresh, citrusy flavor, and jalapeño, for a bit of spice. The combination is fantastic!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Fresh Cranberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Jalepeno Peppers, finely chopped
  • 3 Green Onions (approximately 1/4 cup), diced
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 16 oz cream cheese

Instructions

  • Chop the cranberries by hand or in a food processor and place in mixing bowl
  • Add sugar and stir
  • Add jalapeño peppers, green onions, orange zest, lemon juice, and salt
  • Stir to combine and refrigerate at least 8 hours, preferably overnight
  • Whip the cream cheese and spread in an even layer on the bottom of a shallow serving dish or pie plate
  • Top with cranberry mixture
  • Serve with butter crackers

Notes

The cranberry mixture alone makes a great side dish for Thanksgiving or Christmas, in place of traditional cranberry relish.
